My Patrick "Hogerty" was b. in County Galway (possibly Headford) in 1848, d. in Kansas City, Missouri in 1936. He immigrated in 1865 to the US. His sister, Mary Hogerty also eventually settled in Kansas City, Missouri. The man she married, Patrick J. Collins was also from County Galway. Patrick married Bridget Duggan (b. in MO) and had 5 children: Daniel Michael, Norine K. ("Beanie"), Marguerite, Mary Helen ("Mamie") and Julia Bernice ("Jules"). Do those names sound familiar to you -- like family names? I recently read that Cain is a variation of "Kenney", so I thought I'd give this a shot! Looking forward to hearing more.
