She says they are all buried in "the" Eureka cemetery. Can someone tell me if there is only 1 cemetery in Eureka? and what the name of it is?

    3. From a list compiled by the old State Cemetery Board, I show the following cemeteries: Name: Myrtle Grove Mem. Cemetery (Eureka) County: Humboldt Operator: City of Eureka Ownership Type: Public City Established: 1856 Acreage: 9 Name: Ocean View Cemetery (Eureka) County: Humboldt Operator: Ocean View Cemetery Ownership Type: Private Licensed (COA 458) Established: 1986 Name: St. Bernard's Cemetery (Eureka) County: Humboldt Operator: Ocean View Cemetery Ownership Type: Religious Corporation Sole Established: 1892 Acreage: 22.6 S. Silver Note: It appears the Catholic Church turned this over to private operation; does state "For information: The Roman Catholic Bishop of Santa Rosa." The Catholic Church has "divested" of many of it's oldest cemeteries in the gold country and elsewhere. When they cannot locate someone to take the responsibility for them, they have sometimes just walked away from the cemeteries. Hope this helps. 3. To: Unknown person No, there are several. Eureka's pioneer cemetery is "Myrtle Grove Cemetery" but the big one is Ocean View. Ocean VIew is owned by a huge national corporation, and includes Ocean View, Bucksport, Sunset, St. Bernard's and maybe one or two more. SOme 60,000 + burials there at this point!
