Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how far back Business License information can be found, and if so where I would go to get the information. I have my Great Grandfather's 2 ledgers from the Lee Brothers Cabinet and Millwork Shop that starts in 1891. (At least the dates of these two books start then). I'm trying to find out anything I can on this (who started up the business, etc.). I'm also desiring to find out anything I can about the brick plant my Grandfather had in Fortuna (at the old house we used to live at). I have no idea when he started that but think it was in the early 50's. Would anyone have any idea where I should start my search of these records? Thank you for ANY help you can give me on this.
