Jennie, I'm so glad you ask since I was going to post this today. I wrote to the Reference Department at the Humbolt County Library at 1313 3rd St., Eureka, CA 95501 and asked for a look up of 2 obits and the news story of the murder (gun shot that made the papers). The librarian that I had spoke to on the phone said to include as much info. as possible (dates especially) and send a little money. I sent the letter and a check for $5 to the library and told them to let me know of any extra for research costs. I mailed the letter Feb. 24 and received a reply with everything I asked for today. I would have gladly sent $20 or more for what was sent to me. They were wonderful!
