Ruth D. Pomeroy was born Nov. 1, 1816 in Williamsburg, Ma. They had 12 children: Esther, Ruth, born June 18, 1831 at Pittsfield, MA and died in Ripon, WI on June 11, 1899, and married John Graham on Jan. 30, 1848 in Troy, NY, Phoebe, who married James E. Smith, Hester, Jeremiah, Hezekiah, Allen, Asa, Benjamin, Daniel, Ezekiel, and Ebenezer. Oral history says that the Looks came from England, where their name was Lock. Two sons both fell in love with the same girl. The younger son changed his last name.
