Looking for information on John W. Brehmer, son of Conrad and Hannah Brehmer who was born 1844, came to Humboldt County around 1856. He joined the Union army 1862 and was involved in some indian skirmishes in 1862, but I lose track of him after that. Family lore states that he was killed by indians but I have found no proof of that. Can anyone find anything on him? Thanks, Joyce Glover
