Can anybody find for me an obit for Dollie Shannon, who died either in the hospital in Trinity or Humboldt County or at home in Hoaglin Valley (Trinity)? She was my grandfather's second wife; as such, the family doesn't seem to know that much about her--just that she was born somewhere in New York, her maiden name was Cole, and she had married a Johnson before marrying Theodore Roosevelt "Pop" Shannon. Dollie lived in Blue Lake and was a graduate of a culinary academy. She died somewhere between the mid-1980s and early 1990s--sorry I can't be more specific. Although she was not "blood," she was a great lady--and her cinnamon rolls were by far the best this world has ever tasted.
