Does Bucksport still exist? Clay Shannon, currently researching specific stirps of the families Shannon, Kollenborn, Branstuder, Huddleston, Gorham, Bailey, Patton, Silva, Myers, Nelson, Green, and Lucky (Wiyot, Wintu, or Wailakki "Indian")
Clay: Yes and no. The area is still here, marked mainly by a sporting goods store named "BuckSports," on South Broadway street, (US 101). In the area is the Bucksport cemetery, now part of a larger complex (St. Bernard's cemetery, ect.), now owned by the big corporation that try's to call itself "Dignity." Otherwise, it is not an incorporated city nor even an identifiable town or area.
