    3. Clay: I haven't a clue how to identify either the author or the name of a book, when we don't have any information to start with! It is also difficult, when we don't know which county the couple was from! Here in Humboldt County, there was a Daniel Nelson who was married to (??) a Annie Kenach, who was Indian. They had two children, Ida Latham Nelson born 30 November 1881 at Hoopa. She died 6 December 1973. And George William Nelsonm born 25 May 1884 a Hoopa. George died 11 November 11 1986.. There seems to be a couple of issues that mitigate against this couple being the ones that you are looking for. First, the son was born last, and the second problem is that the children were born inland at Hoopa (the largest reservation in California), which indicates that she was most likely from the Hoopa tribe rather than the Wyott tribe, who lived along the coast.. I will keep my eyes open for more information.
