Linda: I live in Eureka and years ago my sister bought a rental in an estate sale that had been owned by a Johnnie Johnson. Many of his belongings were still in the house. I recently found some of the correspondence which indicates he was born in Sweden, but went to Norway. The names were Captain J.A. Johnson (b. 1847) his children Adolph and Stellie. He was a captain on Humboldt Bay for many years. Another reference indicates the wife's name as Emma Sophia Johnson; daughters Mrs. A. Gustafson of Berkeley; Mrs. Ray Adsit of Crescent City; Mrs. H.R. Roth of Huntington Beach; and son Adolph Johnson of Eureka. Any of these names look like yours????
