Many of the Wailakki were taken to the Round Valley Reservation at Covelo during the period 1858 through early 1900s. I can put you in touch with at least one genealogist who has broad knowledge of the Round Valley Indians/EuroAmericans. Some Shannon family also lived in Shasta County which adjoins Trinity. Mendocino, Humboldt, Trinity, Tehama, and Shasta all had large numbers of native people who were either killed, enslaved or taken to the reservation.
