The family you found is most likely the correct one. My hope is that one of them will know the parents and birthplace of Joseph, their grandfather. Joseph never left Nova Scotia, and I do find info on him, but nothing that positively gives his parents or their birth place. I have found possibles, but nothing to prove it. First I want to thank everyone for all there help so far. And also offer a free lookup in the History of Humboldt County Circa 1882. This book is on loan from a library and I only have it for a couple more weeks. Its mostly illistration and town info. but has a few biographies of promentant people. Back to my brick wall. Here's what I got so far, Roy E. Mcknight (Mcnight,Mc Knight,McKnight originally spelled with a lower case c with 2 lines under it still don't know what this means) also known as Leroy Edwin Mcnight same variations on last name born in Canada (east coast possibly Quabec) Either April 1876 (1900 Census) or 1 May 1877 (Family) to Irish father and French Canadian mother (not sure on mothers ancestry also from family sources).Orphaned between birth and the age of two(also family conjecture) and raised in Fields Landing,Humboldt County came to Humboldt between 1878 and 1879 (his obituary which doesn't name parents). Married Elsie Aldrich and Jennie Petersen (County Records). Had seven+ children with Jennie before he died or they divorced not sure which. 2 are still living but know idea where they are today. Roy died in 1932 of heart problems. Also the name lester is significant in my family its the middle name of the first born (if its a son) and its passed down from first child to first child. So that means that he was the first son but not the oldest child, because he gave his oldest boy, my grandfather, the middle name Lester. Any help or ideas? No matter there aren't that many people in the class of 1908-12. My data base for all years is about 80% complete so as far as relatives not 100% accurate but what is eh? No Springs listed and about 18 Hills. So that takes us to the yearbooks for those years. I don't have them. All I have is a list of "graduates" for those years noted in the 1928 yearbook. This name does not show up for any of the graduates. About all you can conclude from this informtion is that she probably didn't graduate from AHS from the years 1906-1916. Born Oct. 19, 1939, she was raised in Parker, Ariz., and attended high school there. She moved to Yolo County eight years ago. She was a housekeeping supervisor for the International Inn and Clarion Hotels in several areas for 12 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Anchorage, Alaska. Survivors include her husband Tony Nardiello of Woodland; daughter Tina Clausen of Eureka; five sons and a daughter-in-law, Jim Stejskal of Auburn, Richard Stejskal and Bill Legg of McKinleyville, and Woodland residents Tony Stejskal, Tony Nardiello Jr. and his wife Sue. She also is survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 1996 by her mother Lola Fortner.
