What does the little blue star after a person's name on the family page mean? I know I've wondered about that before but I can't remember if I ever found an answer. ---------------------------------------- I'm not sure I know what you're talking about, but I always mark my personal ancestors with an * after the name. This makes it easy for me to know which of a group of children is/are my ancestor/s. There are times back in the Medieval time period when a person may have multiple siblings for ancestors. I have as many as four in some families of siblings. If cousins married cousins in this country it could still happen in rare instances even today. The * also makes it easy when searching through the alphabet of people in the file. Ancestors pop up all over the place. After all, when you have thousands of people in your file there is no way that you can remember each and every ancestor, especially when there are often several people with the same name/s. Try it. You might like it. Jno
