Lee Cagle, brings up a good point in his posting below. I suppose we all have been a little lazy siting our resources. There are hundred's of archived messages in our Cagle list, and I feel for the most part dates, places, and events are as reliable as possible. However, I am suggesting that we add foot notes at he bottom of our postings stating our sources. Being a democratic list I feel this needs to be voted on. If the majority is in favor then we will start doing this. I feel a simple addition such as this example will be good enough : Footnote : This family data is from the 1820, 1830. and 1850 Sevier Co; Tn; census. The dates of birth and death on Martha & John Smith, are from there tombstone in the Sleepy Hollow Cemertery. This I feel will eliminate some problems we have had in the past. If you have no recourse then state were you got your data. I.e. Posting made by Earl D. Cagle Sr; made on 12-01-03. Of course all ideas are welcome and appreciated.
