    1. [CAGLE] Re: MARY TALITHA CAGLE WILSON /THOMAS SYLVESTER WILSON
    2. Patricia, I have no record of a Mary Talitha Cagle, nor Thomas Sylvester Wilson. In 1878, there was a group of family members who headed off for Oregon. They were mostly all from Newton County, Arkansas. The names of the families were Cagle, Standridge, Meeks, Lane, Adams, Nolan and Rigney. There was no Wilsons nor a Mary Talitha Cagle on the wagon train. The train made it to Utah where they stopped for some reason. They remained there for sometime and returned to Newton Co., AR, then to Oklahoma. I also, have several Valentine Cagles; however, none with a wife Rilda. Let me know if you find additional information. I am referring your inquiry to our Cagle researchers, perhaps one of them can help you. Since you mentioned a wagon train and a marriage in Utah, this sounds like a connection to Nancy Jane Balmer and her ancestors, Charles Arter Cagle. If she finds a connection she will let you know. Lee Cagle Okla City PS: Nancy Jane, are you aware of anyone as she mentions who was married in Utah during the Wagon Train's stay in the late 1870s. I am unable to connect with her GGrandmother, Mary Talitha Cagle. We go there every Memorial Day. They were born in Alabama/ went to Tenn. circa. 1885-1886:then to OK. via covered wagon 1893-1895. I would like to see documentation re: married in Utah, because they were 15 and 16 years old, and did not have the means to get there. In the Winston Co. 1880 census , Mary T. said her parents were born in Georgia. My grand mother was child #7 Dora [NMN] Wilson Howell , Circa. 1962 she told me her maternal grand mother was Mary Jane Craig /father Valentine Cagle. She clarified the spelling, too. This has been in my family Bible . I've only been in computer/genealogy 101 since July. Daughter Shari R. has been working on everyone. We have a list of all the 10 children+dates, history tidbits, pictures . Rilda, Valentine,+ are some of the names. My uncle born 1911 and mother born 1919 are still living. Grandma Howell said they were of Dutch decent:Cagle. RE: Cagle/Craig Was Valentine a middle name? Was this their first marriage? Was Mary T. child #1 or # 10? Big puzzle!! If anyone would like the family info. pics. we have, will be glad to share!!!! Thank You! Southern Kin
