Mary L 14, John W 12, Twins are Susan C and Rebecca A, 9. The entire family born said North Carolina. [from Ancestry Images 1870] "William Riley believed to be son of David Cagle who lied in Stanly County, N.C. in 1840's." and brother of George Cagle who married Millie Hinsen [from CAGLE PEOPLE by Martin Luther Burchinal pub. 1988]. He says 1880 census sheet 187B, shows Rebecca born Alabama and listed as Linda. The 1900 census of Marshall lists her living with widowed mother and having 4 children: Carl M, Marion H., Noler D., and Ider B. He did not list surname of the father of her children. Census may not show his name. Hope this helps some.
