    3. Donna, I don't think I got an answer. Most of this stuff has been covered by John G. Cagle in his books and by others as well. These are probably legitimate names, but there has not been a definite connection, that I have seen, to the NC Cagles, certainly not to the extent to put these people in the family tree then paste same to Genealogy.com or somewhere. Some of us who have been around for a while recognize who is and who isn't, and know what to take with a grain of salt. But those new people just starting get all this published information (on the internet) and don't realize that some of it has never been proven. With the exception of David, b. 29 April 1728, we don't know the birth date, order of birth of, or even all of his siblings. He does have a half sister who was 14 in 1729. There are hundreds of Cagle researchers out there and hopefully eventually we'll get this thing worked out.
