I have viewed Mr. Kerchner's work (which is extensive)and encourage all of you to go to his home page and search the various segments of information he has provided, some good history regarding the German immigrants. The aspect that I am interested in is the Genealogy by DNA. If you go to Kerchner's home page and scroll down to the DNA project indentified with the "NEW" logo, you will find a project he is working on that is very interesting. Since our Leonhart came from the Palatinate area I plan to contact Kerchner and present my heritage for his evaluation for his project. If he declines I still plan to contact Family Tree DNA (www.familytreedna.com) for a kit for DNA testing. I will let you know what comes of this. Also, I am putting together some information on from sources I have on Henry Cagle (I agree some of the lines of descent appear to be a little tangled). Earl L.
