Cagle Census records of the South, 1860 TO 1910 . Page 710, 1870 Lawrence , MO. Mt. Pleasant Township There is a photo of David Cagle 1843-1919 on this page . David s/o Linday and Mahulda Cagle , enlisted in the Union Army on November 01, 1863, and served in Company C., 15 Regiment MO. Cavalry Volunteers. Before being discharged on November This is probably the photo that many, including some David Cagle descendants who had copies of the picture, believed to be of their ancestor and my g-g-uncle, David 'Uncle Davy' Cagle, but has instead been identified by a Schooling descendant who has the original, as actually that of William Schooling, b. about 1834, an older brother of David Cagle's wife, Barthena Schooling.
