Earl, I believe this is the son of Leonard Cagle b. Nov 1780, who married Elizabeth Carter and moved to Missouri. Henry was known to be in California in 1850. I notice the other three men in the group of miners are Yankees, maybe Ole' Henry felt safer saying he was from Ohio rather than KY. I believe he later died in Oregon. Maybe someone else can give us more details.
