Cagle Edith Robinette Cagle, 77, of Hill St., Drexel, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at her residence following a period of declining health. Born July 29, 1926, in Burke Co., NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Erma Bumgarner Robinette. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Cagle, Sr.; three brothers, and a sister. Mrs. Cagle was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Mrs. Cagle is survived by sons, James S. Cagle of Glen Alpine, and James C. Cagle, Jr. of Hickory; daughters, Vivian Taylor of Drexel, Peggy J. Deal of Valdese, and Joyce A. Ruyle of Champaign, Ill.; a brother, Daniel Robinette of Camden, S.C.; sisters, Curley Barber of California City, Calif. and Lorene Powell of Valdese; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Tony Land and Jerry Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
