My mother Pearl Leola Torbett daughter of Henry Lee Torbett and Margaret Bales-daughter of Margaret Evaline Cagle and Joseph Harrison Bales-Margaret Evaline's parents were Peter Cagle & Nancy Hanson-Peter son of Jacob Cagle -son of Christian Christopher Cagle-son of Henry Cagle son of Leonhart Cagle. Pearl Torbett married Hubert Lee Adams-his parents were Steven Milligan Adams and Mary C. Denton-Mary's parents were George M. Denton and Catherine May Wood. Catherine's parents were Nancy Ann Osborn and William Leonard Wood. Nancy Osborn was the daughter of Jeremiah Osborn and Anne Blythe- they were also the parents of Mary Osborn wife of Leonard Charles Cagle. Mary Osborn and Nancy Ann Osborn were sisters. I have just recently discovered this connection while tracing the Denton , Chastain, Wood and Osborn Lines.
