It was an article that appeared in the Concord Register on April 4, 1876 about the murder of GEORGE CAGLE by a DANIEL CRISCO. It says that at the time of his murder George Cagle Jr. was a farmer in BIG LICK, Stanly County N. C. My question is this. IS THIS GEORGE CAGLE RELATED TO MY G G G GRANDMOTHER REBECCA CAGLE WHO MARRIED GEORGE WHITLEY # 3 ? Rebecca was born Jan. 25, 1786 and died April 9, 1964 and is buried in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church near Stanfield, N. C. I know her father was a George Cagle but WAS HER FATHER THE SAME AS THE GEORGE CAGLE LISTED ABOVE.?
