    3. David, I'm glad I could help - I do have Ancestry and Genealogy.com census and between both, it's pretty easy to search either by county or by first or last name. Morrow and Ransome aren't common names so it was pretty simple. And sometimes you just get lucky. No, not my line - I'm a GA Cagle and I'm so good at this that I told the entire list that my great grandfather was Joseph Jacob Cagle from Hall County GA. His name is Joseph JACKSON Cagle, son of Henry Cagle. I got him mixed up with his wife's (Mary Vianna Cagle) grandfather Jacob Joseph Tyler. Sometimes you don't get lucky. LaMona - change your file - sorry about that. If anybody wants to help me, please explain how Mary Polly Cagle (Mary Vianna's grandmother) - born in Buncombe County NC (says so on her tombstone) is supposed to be the daughter of Jacob Cagle from Hall County GA. I know he's from NC, but he's from Moore County and I don't know why he would be in Buncombe County 1800 Census and in Moore before and then turn around and move to GA -wrong direction- also the 1800 Census shows the Jacob in Buncombe County to have one daughter only at that time. If John Cagle (Henry's father and married to Barbara Cagle - I check for opposable thumbs and extra toes every night) is Jacob's oldest child, why wouldn't he show up on this census? It would make more sense for her or John to be the daughter or son of Henry or Valentine or some other Cagle. Which ones came to Habersham County later? Am I missing something that I should have caught? Is there a will or something that I don't know about? I don't remember when Jacob Cagle came to GA, but since Mary Polly's husband, William C. Cagle (see what I mean?) was born in Habersham County, (says so on his tombstone) who's his father???
