John is one of the most common first names among the Cagles and not many middle names are known. George Cagle 56 NC Malinda 43 MO (Margaret Malinda Matthews) Henry 18 MO Belle Smith 14 MO adopted William Cain 2 MO grandson I know these people didn't drop of the edge of the earth? They Came to TX from New Madrid Co., MO ca 1878. Before that, George with his parents, in 1838, moved to New Madrid Co., MO from Hardin Co., TN where they had lived for about 10 years. This family originated in Cabarrus Co., NC. The line runs: 1. Leonard Cagle the immigrant 2. David Cagle, b. 1728 Ger. 3. Henry Cagle, Sr, b. ca 1760 4. Henry Cagle, Jr. b. 1780 NC, d. 1857 MO 5.
