    3. 1870 US Fed Census Edwardsville, Cleburn, AL, 11 Jul, pg 6, household 65, family 46, lines 30 - 33, I C Thompson, Asst Marshall CAGLE, Benjamin, 37, MW, Farmer, $1000/$100, NC, Literate Mary, 18, FW, At home, AL Richard, 12, MW, At home, AL Nancy, 10, FW, At home, AL (Note: Mary above is the right age to be Anna. Perhaps her name is actually Mary Anna Cagle. Also, she could be the neice of Ben and the daughter of Samuel who could not be located for the 1870 census.) If this is not Anna, then Anna was married by 1870 and Mary is the niece of Samuel. Anna should be living in the household of someone else for the 1870 census and probably near her father. Can you tell me the date/place of birth for Leona Ellen Mitchell. Also, do you know the month and year of death. How is Anna Margaret Cagle connected to this family? Lee Cagle Okla City -- Cagle2002@webtv.net wrote: Thanks Lee, you are right, more needs to be done, I am having so much trouble because I am on WEBTV.. These are the right names in 1870 for this family..I have to look for death date for ANGELINE/ANGELINA Cagle...wife to see why she isn't on here. Wonder where James J (b.1855) was, he would have been about age 15/16. Maybe on another family page, working, in this census. Yes, you could be right for Anna...could be Mary...she would be that age...17, doubt if married.BTW...My granddaughter is Anna Margaret Cagle...long before they knew of this one. She was hoping to find that name.lol.I think too, that Benjamin went back to Ga. as a minister..I have to check on that too.I am trying my 'levellist best' to finish this line, for my kids. (ever heard that expression?) In case you want the family of Leona Ellen Mitchell, wife of Cornelius Elmore Cagle sr I have it now.Funny...her grandfather was named Benjamin too...Benjamin Mitchell, from S.C her parents were John S. and Martha Jane Mitchell b Al. If you want your own source..you can find them in De Kalb Al. census, I am not looking at it...I think about 1860 for Benjamin maybe '70.I found John S. in 1900 DeKalb Al with his family. Leona E had a sister Eda, who married a Vaughn. All buried on Sand Mountain. Some pretty famous write ups on her uncles, , civil war.(sons of Benjamin) And Thanks for everything, Lee...post it if you find my Anna...OK?
