    3. The 1994 issue mentions Paul, but does not mention the war of 1812. The December issue of the Cagle Journal states that Paul Cagle served from August 1810 until February 1812 under Capt. Joseph Phillips of the 2nd Artillery. Paul enlisted in Hickman Co., TN. Paul lists his date of service on his bounty Land Application in Dunklin Co., MO as from 12 August 1812 until 31 December 1813.
