A couple of things come to mind. One, was Walter or any other of the Cagle's in Arkansas known to be a preacher or in some way an Indian sympathizer? I was thinking that he might have "taken in" the Young family in order to help "Elizabeth". Another, I noticed that there may be no Bentonville in KY, but there is a Benton, located in current Marshall County, KY. This was in "The Purchase," western tip of KY which was Chickasaw country at the time and some Cherokee came to live there too. This could be where the older Young children (not including Margaret and Charlotte) were born. It may have been called Bentonville by the residents of the time.
