It is far too curious for two John Cagles to be born at the same time and have two sons born at the same time named George Cagle. Considering that the firstborns were most often named after a father, grandfather, it is quite possible that we do have the same John Cagles. I contacted a descendant of another line that intersects with our Cagles. They have that John Cagle's wife's name was Emily J. Derossett. John married again to Eliza Niles. My grandfather remembers half brothers and sisters of William's. It does appear that by 1900, the John Cagle of Fannin Co., Texas has either moved or is deceased. His son, William died in 1941 (my grandfather was only 8 or 9 years old). I'm going to do some more research into Fannin Co. records online and see what I can find.
