Sorry Frances, I haven't made a SC connection although family lore sez there was one. I've been unable to prove further back than my husband's gr grandfather Edward Loranze Davis b. 1866 AL.d. 1906. Possibly (but unproven) he's the son of Mason L. b. 1834 AL & Martha C. Dunn Davis. Mason was the son of Elisha b. 1802 GA (proven by Will), all were in Barbour Co. AL.
