I want to add my two cents here...I have several Beadie Ann's in my family...born around 1835-1850. On some census it is spelled 'Bidy" and "Biddy" for my grgrandmother, Beadie Ann Martin.I think "Beadie" was a popular name back then. I too...knew it to mean 'very small" . My brother in law was caled "Bit" because the siblings called him "little Bit " when he was a baby.Nothing to do with his name. So it is probably any of this, but I feel the name "Biddy" was the name that was popular...spelled however some peson spelled it. Stella
I think you get an A on an aswer. This Biddy name got me. Im going to bury her in 1908 in Knoxville.
