    3. Micah, The Henry Cagle on the 1900 Census of Okla City. Is not the same as the Henry who married Dora Bishop on 3 Jan 1892. This Henry Cagle might be a first cousin by way of Elizabeth Cagle Bishop, Henry's father's sister who married a Bishop. This is probably as clear as mud. You might try contacting Lamona Phillips at the address shown in the address heading. I understand she has been working this line. Lee Cagle Okla City -- Micah Allen <silvertrill@yahoo.com> wrote: To List and Val (I think) Someone, I think it was Val wrote to the list asking if anyone had information on Mary Adeline Cagle. John Cagle (b.1853, MO) and the subject of so many of my posts had a daughter Mary Cagle. On Missouri's vital record site is a wealth of resources that can potentially help anyone looking for Cagles with ancestors that were born, lived, or died in Missouri counties. Mostly, you'll find 1910-1956 death certificates to be the most valuable because pre-1910 info is only found for counties outside the Missouri Bootheel region. I found a record for Mary Adeline Cagle on the usgenweb New Madrid County site stating the following: James A. Westeman of Wess Twp. married Mary A. Cagle. John Cagle, father, consents on April 19, 1893 by E. Brand, Justice of the Peace. Since Lee so graciously sent us his website (THANK YOU by the way), I decided to check it out. Unaware that he basically had every Leonhart Kegel descendant on there, I wasn't disappointed. He had quite a few records of the same info I have on John and his family. Mary A. Cagle was listed as his daughter and her mother is listed as Sarah. You will note that you can find her in John Cagle's household at age 4 in the 1880 Census of Fannin County, Texas. I have yet to really work on her records, but now that I know that she is a member of the Morehouse Cagle's I will eventually get to it. Furthermore, David you might be interested to know that I found Dora Bishop's name as a wife of Henry Cagle (John's fourth son, I think) on Lee's page. Lee, I would love to know where you found the info that Henry C. Cagle married Dora Bishop. I've been trying to connect Frederick Cagle and Franklin Cagle into our line for a while and only had a hunch. The Cagle/Bishop marriage certificate/info has eluded me. Also, I note that Dora is living with Andrew Hayes in the 1900 census of New Madrid Co, MO directly next to John Cagle (b. 1853), but we also have Henry Cagle listed with first wife Ida in the 1900 census in Oklahoma City. How can this be? I'm a bit confused; did I miss something? Thanks for the wonderful info! --Micah R. Allen-- (Morehouse, New Madrid, MO Cagles) --------------------------------- Sick sense of humor? 3. Just for fun, I thought I would throw out another 2 Henry Cagles in to the fray, to stir things up even more. My 3X Great Grandfather, Henry Cagle, was born 1798 in SC, married Catherine ? who was born in 1804. They are listed in the 1850 Haywood North Carolina census Roll M432-633 Page 200 Household 947-973, along with their children Jacob, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary, Henry, Joseph C., Catherine and Calvin Asept. My 2X Great grandfather was joseph C. Cagle. The son Henry Jr. listed with sibs and parents Henry and Catherine was born abt. 1835 in North Carolina.
