In 1820, Henry Cagle Sr., (1760-ca1838), of Montgomery Co., NC had two sons, Henry Cagle Jr and George Cagle, living in adjacent Cabarrus Co., NC. George Cagle, (1780's-1840) married Elizabeth Freeman, the daughter of Gideon and Deborah Polk Freeman. Henry Jr and George Cagle and some of the Freemans moved to Hardin Co., TN in the 1820's. There may be no connection, I thought it might be of interest.
