Lee, Thanks for providing Neda with this information. I have major computer problems at home - lightning storm took me out so I didn't check mail until I got to my office this morning. Neda, although the tombstone is totally wrong saying that she was born 8/13/1819 I think this is the right person. The tombstone also says she was age 94 years - 2 months and 3 days - if she died in 1918 that birth date should have been 1824 just as Lee stated. However, the 1900 census does say that she was born in August just like the tombstone. As for the death date of 10/16/1918 - I have no idea. Although it would agree with the age given on the stone if she were born in August. I don't know why the tombstone is so confusing but it's not the first one I've seen with incorrect information. Also - more info on Thomas and Matilda Cagle Carter - buried at Enon Baptist Cemetery in Hall County along with others in their family. And I had my file just about ready to put on the website, but now I have no idea if I still have a file or not. I'll let you know.
