    3. David, I believe we are pretty close on the age of Henry. If you look at his father's 1860 Census of New Madrid Co., MO, we find he is not listed, but he is listed as 9 on the 1870. I am convinced he was born after Lee Cagle Okla City -- "David Cagle" <dcagle1@charter.net> wrote: Thanks Lee. " LaMona has found a Dora Bishop who married Henry Cagle on 3 Jan 1892, might be this Henry. This is possibly his first cousin. She may be the daughter of Elizabeth Cagle Bishop, Henry's father's sister who married a Bishop." Do we know anything else about Dora and Henry, location, dates? As you probably know, there was a Henry Cagle living in adjacent Dunklin or Pemiscott County that was about 2 years older than George's son Henry. The other Cagles in New Madrid Co., early on, were from Perry Co., TN apparently descendents of Leonard, son of the emigrant Leonard. 3. Re: son of Dora Bishop and Henry Cagle I found Fred Cagle's death certificate on Missouri's 1910-1956 database of death records: I have the following: Fred Cagle of Richland, Stoddard, Missouri. Born October 27, 1893; Died January 16, 1919. Name of Father: Henry Cagle; Name of Mother: Dora Bishop. Father's birthplace is unknown. Mother's birthplace is MO. Deceased birthplace is listed as "near Morehouse MO". Buried in Idalia, MO. Also please note that I have noticed Andrew Hayes in the 1880 census adjacent to John Cagle's (b. 1853) household in Fannin Co., TX. I also note in the 1900 census of Morehouse Village, West Township, New Madrid, Missouri that Andrew Hayes and Dora Bishop Hayes appear with stepsons Fred and Franklin and that their household again is not far from John Cagle's (b. 1853) household. (It is on the same census page) Please note that William Cagle's (John's second son) family had moved to the Richland township as well by 1910. Lee, David and LaMona, Is it conclusive that Henry Cagle (son of George Cagle and Malinda Matthews) married Dora Bishop? I think that it is conclusive because of the close proximity his supposed widow Dora keeps with Henry's brother John in addition to Fred's death certificate and the presence of Andrew Hayes living so near the Cagle family in both the 1880 and 1900 census. I think I have more notes as well, but I have to find them....will keep you posted. Lee Cagle <caglel1@juno.com> wrote: David, I believe we are pretty close on the age of Henry.
