Hello list I have been inactive for a while due to the fact that we have moved into a new home that we had to remodel. What a job!! As I was trying to catch up with the wonderful work you've all done this summer, I ran across this concerning Jacob Cagle b: 1766. I am a direct decendent from this line and have documented census info from Hall Co. GA on this line. According to my info Jacob 1766-Oct 20 1856 married Elizabeth Gilmore 1770-1831. They had thirteen children, one of which was Mary (Polly) Cagle. Mary (Polly) married William C. Cagle (I suspect a cousin, but I'm not sure how they were related) Feb 20, 1820 in Habersham Co. GA. William C. Cagle is my big mystery, I do not know where he comes from and how he enters the line. Mary and William had eight children, one of which was David Crockett Cagle b: @1836. David was a brother to my ancestor Adler. I do not list any other info on David Crockett other than that he died in Wister, OK. Hopefully, this has been helpful. Hopefully it is correct. I would love to hear back from you about David's line and to help you anymore, if I can. I do have all sibling names and dates for the children I mentioned above. Let me know if I can help.
