Cagle, Valentine 64 NC Martha 58 " Easter 32 " Litha 26 TN Henry 21 " Notes: The two older sons of this family, Valeintine III , B-1819, and John b 1824 - 1898, were living just across the county line in Franklin County, Tennessee. Notes: Valentine's name was actually seplled "Voluntine" in this listing. in the 1860 Census of DeKalb Co. ala, Martha was listed as head of household, suggesting that Valentine died in the 1850s. Son Henry was listed in 1860 DeKalb, as age 34; thin in 1880 Marion, Ala, as 54. Dates of births on the main page are taken from the family bible Children of Valentine Cagle and Martha Johnson are: 2 i. Easter5 Cagle, born November 15, 1815 in Tennessee; died 1885 in Marion County, Alabama. Notes for Easter Cagle: Tombstone of Easter Cagle 1815-1885 is buried at old Buttahatchie School Cemetery ,Eastern Marion County, Alabama . The stone appears to be had carved and lettered. alsois lined with stone slabs onthe sides of the grave, and topped with a single flat coffin-shaped slab, a number of Cagel graves of this type are found throughout the South . there is another stone the same way behind her, but the name can't be read . Nearby is the similar grave of C. Cagle probably Charle Cagle of Marion County, Alabama. Easter was never married and was the daughter of Valentine Cagle, Jr. ca. 1786 - 1850s, pioneer settler of Winston and Jackson County, Alabama. + 3 ii. Notes for Henry "Little Henry" Cagle: In the 1910 census Henry's wifes parents lived with them James Webb 80 years old born August 1830 and Martha M. 70 years old born April 1848.
