    3. List: I don't know if this is a clue or not; however, I show a David Crockett Cagle b. May 11, 1835 who moved to LeFlore County, Oklahoma where he eventually died in 1923. He had a son Virgil W. b. Nov 1, 1879. This Virgil grew up in Oklahoma which was hard hit by the depression and the dust bowl devastation of the 20s and early 30s as depicted in the book "Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. The Virgil in question may well be the son of Virgil W. who may be one of the many who fled Oklahoma for better fortunes in the Golden West. What do you think? Maybe someone in this line has current information. Lee Cagle Moore, OK " THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC" Newspaper. Sunday,June 20, 1999 [ Obituaries ] Virgil "Gene" Cagle, 62, of Tolleson,Az.
