Lee, In response to your query about other Cagle lines. In my search for early PA Cagle's I came across a Kagle family that settled in PA from Germany circa 1850. To my surprise I found out that a lady my wife and I have known for years is from this Kagle line. We have never been able to find a connection. I have also communicated with some Kagels who originally came to this country from Russia and now have large family groups in California. This particular line left Germany as refugees and went to Russia before coming here. Another line I found once came into New Orleans in the 1840's and spelled their name Cagle. Unfortunately, I lost this line in a computer problem and haven't reconstructed it yet. Like Earl I think many of these lines are related in the old country and I suspect that many came here to join relatives already living here. However the name is spelled we are all "Cagles" Tom re all "Cagles" Tom
