    1. Cagle obituary, 1939
    2. Doyle W. Chambers
    3. Hi List Cousins, The obituary below was sent to me yesterday as result of a query I made well over a year ago to the Washington state Genweb archives. A local member of the Stevens County Historical Society spotted it recently, and scanned the obit and sent it to me. FYI, the William S. Cagle, who was father of the subject Jess L. Cagle, was a son of Benjamin Franklin Cagle Sr. of Haralson County, GA. This would make him grandfather to the mentioned Dr. Lee Cagle, still living in Stevens County, although retired in frail health. My interest in this is that William S Cagle's siblings include my great grandmother Anna Caroline Cagle, and her brother Benjamin F. Cagle Jr., who is John G. Cagles ancestor through Ann Cook, as well as her brother Augustus Cagle, grandfather of Lee Cagle of our list. Gary Hawley has an interest also as he descends from this line as well. So does Gerri George of Houston. I first forwarded them each a copy. My point: Never, ever dispair of getting results. Keep posting data, information, and making queries and asking questions. It will pay off sooner or later. Our family history has been around a long time, what's a year or so now? I am requesting an in-depth study by another researcher of this family line. I will, of course, share any results. Best wishes, to all....Doyle ========================================================== Colville Examiner, Saturday, April 15, 1939 ANSWERING THE DEATH SUMMONS Stevens County Residents Among Those Receiving the Last Call Jess L.
