Wife Thomas 18 Ala Son Notes: William Carroll Cagle, 1851-1923, of Al, TX William Carroll Cagle, who had lived in Lawrence Co., Ala in 1900, moved to Texas prior to 1910, fro health reason, and settled near Rhome, Wise Co., in the Ft. Worth area. Accompanying him were some of his married sons, and younger sons, Martin Luther Cagle, 1889-1984, and Thomas, b. 1892. Also moving to TX at the same time was Wm. Carroll's twin brother, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Cagle, who had appeared as A.J. Cagle , in 1900 Lawrence Co., ALA. While in Texas, these families farmed, and also hauled wheat to the thresher for large famers. However, dry weather and sand storms hampered their efforts, and they decided to return to Ala.
