He married Minervia Curry on December 24, 1825 in Green County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Curry. They had nine children as follows, 1. James N. Cagle born July 27, 1827 in Tennessee; died Feburary 5, 1882 Hodgenville, Kentucky. 2. Josephine Cagle born 1830 3. S.E. or L.E. Cagle born 1831 4. A.L. Cagle born 1834 5. Betsy B. Cagle born 1836 6.
