Good Morning Cagle Cousins, This came this morning from Ancestry.com. This databse is free for search for the next ten days. Rarely do I find anything of use in these free database searches, but this one contains three Cagle surnames, and many others of my lines. Rather than copy them to you I will just provide the link and ask you to take a look. The survey is very well done. There may be other surnames of interest to you there. Best to all, Doyle ======================================== OAKLAND CEMETERY, ATLANTA, GEORGIA, PART I Established in 1850 and covering more than eighty-eight acres east of downtown Atlanta, Oakland Cemetery is the final resting place for over 50,000 people. This database is a transcription of headstone inscriptions from the cemetery. Each record provides the name of individual, date of birth, and date of death. Between its creation and 1884, nearly all persons who died in the Atlanta area were buried in this cemetery. Additionally, following its creation, other persons were taken from nearby church and family cemeteries and re-interred here. This first part of the collection contains the names of over 32,000 persons. For researchers of ancestors from the Atlanta area in the nineteenth century, this can be a useful source of valuable information. Bibliography: Grizzle, R. L. "Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta Georgia."
