Sarah Ann "Sally" Cagle, born 1845 in Frankline County, Tennessee; died September 22, 1913 in Sallisaw , Oklahoma. She married Samuel James Standridge March 1864 in Newton County, Arkansas. Notes for Sarah Ann "Sally" Cagle: 1850 Census of Franklin County, TN, she was 4 years old. 1880 Census , White Twp. Newton County, Arkansas. The book was compiled by Thomas and Glenda Niswonger. Found on page 98 , #106. Sarah Ann Cagle Standridge died on September 22, 1913 in Salisaw , Oklahoma . Notes for Samuel James Standridge: Information about marriage to Sarah Ann "Sally" from C. L. Boyd. Samuel served in Company C., First Arkasas Regiment Infantry Volunteers, Union. He was five feet, ten inches tall, complexion is light, eyes are dark, he said they were yellow, and his hair was dark. He had a scar on the top of his right ear, he said it was split open by a wild cat or some other varmint . He was asleep when he was attacked by the beast. His pension lists him as being born at Jackson county, Illinois, but the pension lists him as being born in Newton County, Arkansas. He was married to Sarah Ann Cagle who was born about 1843 in Tennessee and they had a family of fourteen children . They were married by Jeremaiah Meeks who was a Justice of the Peace, in Newton county, Arkansas, March 1864. this information was taken from his pension records. Information was sent to me in a book called the Standridge, on page 830, book was compiled by C.L. Boyd. 1910 They were living in Galena , Stone County, Missouri with five children . 7 vi. Census 1900 Eliza was living with her husband and children on Cherokee Nation , Oklahoma 9 viii. Mary E. (twin) Cagle, born November 28, 1858 in Richland Creek, Newton County, Arkansas; died November 05, 1895 in Eufaula , McIntosh County, Oklahoma. She married William J. Lane. Notes for Mary E. (twin) Cagle: I Think her name was Mary E. Cagle, and she was married to William J. Lane . They were also on the Wagon Train, she was 21 years old . Both of them made there home in Eufaula , McIntosh County, Oklahoma , along with the other twin, Margaret C. Cagle Hubble. Both were buried in Asbury Cemetery (McIntosh County , Oklahoma ) This cemetery was located in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, in Sec 25 T10N, R16E. No dates for birth or death. 10 ix. Margaret C. (twin) Cagle, born November 28, 1858 in Richland Creek , Newton County, Arkansas; died August 16, 1947 in Eufaula , McIntosh County, Oklahoma. She married John Huston Hubble January 06, 1881 in Pope County, Arkansas. Notes for Margaret C. (twin) Cagle: Margaret was on the wagon train traveling with her mother and brothers and sisters and other family members . Margaret wrote a letter for Mary Elizabeth Tilley Standridge Cagle when her brother died. Margaret was helping Mary get Charles Pension . In this letter she tells a little bit about what happened on the wagon train . found this information in the pension papers . Have a copy of Penison papers and letters. (about 20 pages in all ). September 1864 in Newton County, Arkansas. Notes for Unknown Son Cagle: When Henry was killed near Clarkville, Arkansas , there was a small boy who was also killed along with him . Nancy Cagle Standridge and Suzzie Cagle Standridge . tried to fight the renagades to save the small boy . this was either a son or it could have been a grandson . (The renagades killed both. )
