John: I have a Charles b. 1746 in Rowan County, NC; d. 1801 in Stanly County, NC. I have him with a son George b. 1789. I have no idea who the wife of the George was but, I show him with only two children. It is possible he had more than two and your George may be one of them. Now if we can prevail upon Nancy Jane to check her books and give us a rundown on Charles b. 1746, with an eye toward his son George b. 1789, we may solve the puzzle or rather, Nancy will.
