Doyle & List, Thanks for finding this interesting website. One day at work we were talking genealogy & The Civil War. Someone asked me if you could get discharge papers. Of course I told them that only Union soldiers received discharges. That the Confederate troops were given in some cases parole papers. Nice job in explaining this to the list, Doyle. Earl
