Doyle and list, This is an interesting site. Thanks for sending it out. I found a couple of Cagle names not on theCagle's in the Civil War list that I will have to add. I will also add this link from the Cagle's in The Civil War Page. Just a point of information for list members, even though soldiers signed the oath many returned to Confederate units to fight again. There is at least one Cagle who although paroled at Vicksburg who stands out. Issac Cagle (GA) was paroled and then returned to the Cherokee Legion was recaptured, taken to Louisville KY and ordered to stay N of the Ohio River until the end of the war.
