    1. Leonhart's Hat Story
    2. Leonhart Kegel had a large black hat , that he wore most of the time. Leonhart handed the hat down to John "Dutchman" Cagle, who died in 1799, in North Carolina. John "Dutchman" handed it down to his youngest son William who was born 1788-1860. William passed the hat down to his son Isaac , who was born 1790-1860 . Isaac gave the hat to his oldest son John Westley, who in turn handed it down to his younger brother Spinks. Spinks then gave the hat to his sister , who sold the hat to Neil Isaac Andrew Cagle, he in turn gave the hat to Bob Baker who donated the hat to the Rocky Mt. Museum (I have seen the hat, it looks like a big black top hat) and should still be there. the photo was xeroxed on a paper not a good one , I was wondering if we have any Cagle's in are group who live in North Carolina , that might know where this Museum is an be able to go there and get a real photo and see what they have written about it. ???? The Chair Story There was a chair that Leonhart would stand on while waiting for his father to come home from work . This chair was donated to a Museum. Later this museum burnt down and the chair was lost. This museum was in PA. (Their must have been family left in PA, because who ever it was gave this chair to them.) Nancy Jane
