    3. Hi, I have received some questions about "Red" Cagle and thought I would send out some information for the benefit of all. I believe he was the son of Raleigh J. Cagle and Parthenia Dauze Golightly Cagle. He was from Calcasieu, LA and in the 1910 Census is listed as Keener age 6. Although not directly related, I remember my father talking about "Red" Cagle the great football player. Strangely enough, no one knows where the nickname red came from because he did not have red hair. About 3 months ago I purchased a copy of the Time magazine with his picture. I have a copy of that posted on our business website at http://www.cagleantique.com/keen.jpg A couple of questions: Can anyone relate his family to Leonhart and does anyone know how he may have gotten the nickname "Red"? Personally I have wondered if he may have been part Indian accounting for the nickname. I am trying to keep as much information as I can collect with the magazine. Finally, in case anyone has his 1955 Tops All American card, depending on condition, it can bring $75.00. If you would like one go to ebay and type Cagle in the search engine. There are usually one or two for sale. Thanks! Tom Cagle
