Tom & List, As a follow up to my earlier letter, there is some more data. I don't have much data on this family, but there is a marriage record at the LDS site: Raleigh J.Cagle to Parthina L.Golightly 22 Jul 1847, Marshall Co; MS. So this couple could not be the parents of, Christian Keener "Red" Cagle. Perhaps they were his grandparents. Anyone on the list know the children of this couple? I believe he was the son of Raleigh J. Cagle and Parthenia Dauze Golightly Cagle. He was from Calcasieu, LA and in the 1910 Census is listed as Keener age 6. Although not directly related, I remember my father talking about "Red" Cagle the great football player. Strangely enough, no one knows where the nickname red came from because he did not have red hair. About 3 months ago I purchased a copy of the Time magazine with his picture. I have a copy of that posted on our business website
